Shoulder prosthesis after fracture dislocation of the humeral head
The repair of multi fragmentary fractures with involvement of the articular surface sometimes represent a challenge that cannot be solved with a reconstruction plate or nail and requires the implantation of a prosthesis to replace the fragments of the head. There are different types of prosthesis depending on the type of patient and fracture. In this case, the most appropriate indication was the use of a hemiarthroplasty.
